Susana del Río Urenda
Susana Del Río Urenda holds a B.A. in anthropology and a three-year degree in nursing; she is an expert in quality management in healthcare institutions.
She was the assistant director of on-going improvement and sustainability at the Hospital Virgen de la Victoria in Malaga, director of nursing at the Hospital Comarcal of Axarquia and has held other management positions. Del Río Urenda is an associate professor at the EASP. She teachers the online Master’s in hospital management at the University of Alcalá and the university Master’s in health services management at the University of Cantabria’s Faculty of Economics. She authored six integrated healthcare processes in Andalusia between 2010 and 2011 and is the lead author of chapters in the books Procesos Asistenciales and Gestión del Cambio. She is co-author of the “Clinical Management” chapter in Gestión Hospitalaria. McGraw-Hill. 5th Edition, 2011 and is the Director of the Operations Department of MESTESA Asesoría Sanitaria.
